Senior Hottie

May 25, 2011

I was never one to blaze my own trail.  A follower to the core, I tried being a “death rocker” (I think this is called “emo” now), a good girl, a bad girl, and a “Beaver” (the lame ass name the my senior clique made up).

When I saw there was a #seniorhottie linky up over at A Belle, A Bean, and a Chicago Dog I knew I had to jump in.  Here’s my senior year, 1993!

Me, on the right, wearing my white socks and Doc Martins.
I always thought this photo looked like it could be a
cover of a Beastie Boys album (or CD, in my day).

The “Beavers”
Now, I still think my prom dress was cute but YIKES
look at those Mother of the Bride dresses at each end of the top row!

The prom theme was “A Whole New World” from the movie “Aladdian.”
And I rocked that dress with white nylons and red pumps.

My 17th birthday.
Check out the jeans.  Could I look anymore bottom heavy?
You can’t see it, but I was wearing
white nylons with my gown too.

Ok…since many of you have asked for proof of the white nylons.
This isn’t from my senior year but shortly there after.
Multiple offender.

That second pic DOES look like it could be the cover of a Beastie Boys album!

You and I are the same age. Wasn't early 90's fashion grand?

Yea, those mother of the brides dresses.. they were something alright!

I totally forgot about while nylons until you mentioned it in your post! I don't know if you can even buy them anymore!

I used to wear Doc Martens all the time. I wish we could see the white nylons.

Love it! I wore the white nylons too – but only once because then they'd be trashed! :)

I totally remember wearing white nylons. What was up with the nurse look being in style back then?

My Prom was A Whole New World too. I wore a purple dress that my mother tried to talk me out of. I should have listened…

That red one was a hubba hubba type of dress. And you being all seductive by the door!

I feel bad for the girls who were wearing old lady dresses, though! :)

Thanks for taking part!
