Those crazy kids behind Yo Gabba Gabba had me when I first saw a “ska-toon” with music from GOGO13 and Alex Desert of Hepcat. My girl wasn’t even a year-old yet but we watched the show a lot.
Granted, some episodes are harder to tolerate than others – especially if you’ve seen them over and over (read: Halloween! dvd). But, you can’t deny that they sometimes feature some really great music (and musicians…more on that in a minute).
A full blown Gabba obsession broke out amongst our toddler friends. Forget Barney, we were attending extravagant and fabulous YGG themed parties!

Another friend brainstormed for months for her daughter’s 4th Gabba themed party. She had ideas for miles. We (or, the kids) played “There’s a Party in my Tummy” beanbag toss, they crafted “I Like Bugs” bug houses, did a photo shoot with a life-sized Foofa, and got to pretend to be DJ Lance Rock. Check out the yummy goodies from this party. All made by my friend’s mom. And insanely delicious.

| How could you eat this? DJ Lance cupcakes! Last November, I took our girl to see the Yo Gabba Gabba Live in Your City tour. A total blast – for me too – to dance around to The Aquabats and meet Leslie Hall. But the biggest thrill – and I mean THRILL – was to see my future second husband, Dave Grohl doing the Dancey-Dance.

I have to ask what the balloons and face on the Brobee Veggie Platter were made out of? I absolutely love it!!!! I have my son’s first birthday party in a few weeks and want to try and make this for it. ADORABLE!!!!
