Instant Buyer’s Remorse!
In March, my husband and I went to check out some model homes for ideas on what changes we should make to our aging house. Next thing we know, we’re putting our house on the market and signing papers to purchase one of the new homes we toured.
What were we thinking in this economy?

I instantly had a bad feeling when we inked the deal with our real estate agent. She was gung-ho on selling our home and swore up and down that she could do it in record time and get a record price (uh, I think the record price award goes to the agent who sold us the house five years ago).
Thankfully, no one liked our house. Weekend after weekend of open houses and constant cleaning just to have snoopy neighbors and potential buyers say they didn’t like the street noise or the dated kitchen and bathrooms. Whatever, but I guess it is a buyer’s market.
After six weeks the deal was dead. We got our down payment back on the new house and decided that our house was our home and we were going to stay, street noise and all.
But now we were back at square one and needed to decide what we were going to spruce up the place. First call was to the kitchen designer!
Come back Tuesday and check out our beautiful new kitchen!
