I can’t believe that we’re in the final push of the #iwillrockthis weight loss challenge!  We’re about 3 1/2 weeks out until the final weigh-ins on Sunday, July 1st.  Let me tell you, it might be a fight to the finish!  I only wish I was a contender!  It’s been the same three girls duking it out  week after week for first place.  I certainly wouldn’t count out those gals hanging in 4th, 5th, and 6th place.  Any one of them could easily sneak into first in the next three weeks.  I’ll tell you though, whomever wins will win some awesome prizes!

With that, I’m excited to feature a company I adore but respect even more – gorjana.

I was introduced to the gorjana brand several years ago before I actually knew about the jewelry.  I had my daughter in a weekly mommy-and-me gymnastics class in Laguna Beach and on this particular day I was sitting out front on the cement steps when another mom and son walked up.  I just wanted to run and hide.  I wasn’t feeling particularly beautiful because though my hair had started growing in since finishing chemo, it was still in a very awkward and unattractive stage.  And up walks this tall and gorgeous mom who looked so easily put together.  I would have given anything to be her at that moment.

The thing I absolutely love, love, love about gorjana is their commitment to community and charity!  Last winter, I gladly volunteered for “Team Hunger” – an annual holiday food drive to benefit homeless shelters in Orange County – organized by the gorjana team.  And last month, I attended gorjana’s first annual Laguna Beach Food Truck Festival benefiting CHOC Hospital.  Additionally, Gorjana has designed some absolutely beautiful pieces where a portion of proceeds are donated to various charities including the Jamie Oliver Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, RAINN, and the Global Fund for Women – to name a few.
